Introduction
Connecticut is a great state, with exceptional human capital, a wonderful quality of life and a prime location within the largest regional economy in the world. However, our assets are aging and our competitive advantages are eroding. It is time for old habits to be changed and new challenges to be embraced.  In 2008, the State must commit to the actions necessary to compete successfully in the global economy. The recommendations that follow describe the specific priorities we believe are necessary. We look forward to working with the General Assembly and the Governor to make them a reality in the months and years ahead.
