The Fairfield County Economic Integration Initiative

About One Coast, One Future
One Coast, One Future is a consortium formed by the Bridgeport Regional Business Council and The Business Council of Fairfield County in cooperation with the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. The work of the consortium was funded from September 20, 2005 to March 1, 2010.

JobsNet: Job Search Resources for Employers, Training Providers and the Labor Force
Job opportunities in the Coastal Fairfield County region often are unknown to job seekers in other parts of the region. Similarly, employers are often unaware of prospective employees outside of their immediate area.

To help bridge that gap, JobsNet was created in 2006 to link employers with organizations that train and recruit workers throughout the Coastal Fairfield County region. Now workers and employers have access to opportunities that were previously unknown outside of their towns or cities.

JobsNet also studied several segments of the region's labor force to determine opportunities to enhance workforce participation. The reports are available at right.
