The Business Council of Fairfield County Launches Young Professionals Network with Kick-off Event on January 22 in Norwalk

Stamford, Connecticut; January 8, 2009 – The Business Council of Fairfield County has recently launched a Young Professionals Network, that will host its first event on January 22 at The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. The event will be held from 6:00-8:00pm and will include appetizers and beverages, compliments of the Maritime Aquarium. The admission is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Underscoring the importance in engaging and retaining our region’s young professionals, several member companies of The Business Council went beyond the call and made a contribution to create a pool of funds to be used to establish a Young Professionals Network. The Network will engage our younger colleagues in a peer network that will be social as well as professional.

A special thanks to UBS for its generous leadership gift to launch the Network and to Centerplate, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Wachovia for their additional investment in this important initiative.
