Business Council Vice President of Public Policy Named by Governor Rell to DEP Commissioner Search Team

Stamford, Connecticut; August 4, 2004 - - Joseph McGee, Vice President of Public Policy and Programs, The Business Council of Fairfield County, has been chosen to serve on Governor Rell’s 13 member advisory panel to select a new Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

“We are delighted to have Joe McGee serve on Governor Rell’s national search committee for a new DEP Commissioner. His breadth of experience from Commissioner of Economic Development during the Weicker Administration, to his career with People’s Bank, and staff leadership roles in the U.S. House of Representatives makes him uniquely qualified for this endeavor,” said Christopher Bruhl, President & CEO, The Business Council. “At The Business Council, Joe works extensively with the business community and government officials in areas involving economic development, transportation, and the environment. We are pleased he will be able to serve Governor Rell’s new administration in this capacity.”
