The Business Council of Fairfield County's Health Care Leadership Council sets priorities for advocacy and has offered a variety of best practice sessions on health benchmarks, quality improvement initiatives and health insurance access.

The advocacy subcommittee has identified several issues to address and track in the legislative session including efforts to improve the gathering and use of health care data, affordable access to health insurance for small employers, the rapid adoption of electronic medical records, and a range of issues associated with the issue uncompensated care.
